Deliveroo photo requirements
Deliveroo wants JPEGs at 1200 × 800 or better, shot with room to crop — because it re-crops every image to a square tile.
Deliveroo's Menu Manager accepts partner-uploaded photos that meet a hard technical spec: JPEG only, at least 1200 × 800 px, 3:2 ratio. The rule most restaurants miss is the crop: Deliveroo renders square tiles, so it wants the dish centred with clear space on all sides — a tightly-cropped photo loses its edges in the app even if it passes review.

Content rules
- No watermarks, logos, text overlays or price stamps on the image.
- No faces, and no hands prominently in frame.
- Whole product in shot, centred, with space around it for the 1:1 crop.
- White or neutral background preferred for item photos.
- The photo must show the item as sold.

What are Deliveroo's photo size requirements?

Why does my Deliveroo photo look cropped in the app?
Deliveroo displays square tiles. It crops your 3:2 upload to 1:1, so anything near the left and right edges disappears. Centre the dish and leave 15–20% clear space on every side.
Does Deliveroo accept PNG images?
No — JPEG only. PNG, TIFF and PSD files are rejected at upload.
Do I need a white background for Deliveroo photos?
White is the stated preference for item photos, with neutral colours acceptable when they help the product read better. Busy, cluttered backgrounds are the practical failure.
