Terms of Service

PlateRefresh ("the Service") lets you upload photos of food and receive AI-enhanced versions intended for restaurant menus, delivery platforms, and marketing use. The Service is provided as-is and may evolve over time.

The Service is operated by, and your contract is with, Visual crafts, established in Lithuania (business code 307005405), registered address Povilo Matulionio g. 10, Akademija, LT-53348 Kauno r., Lithuania ("we", "us").

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

You agree not to upload images that:

• Infringe third-party intellectual property
• Contain people without their consent
• Depict illegal, hateful, or sexually explicit content
• Are designed to mislead consumers about a product

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules and may remove individual outputs without notice.

Photo enhancements consume credits. Prices are shown in the currency at checkout and, for consumers, include VAT where applicable. Subscription plans renew automatically until cancelled from the billing portal. Failed AI generations are credited back automatically.

Because credits give immediate access to a digital service, when you buy credits or a plan you ask us to start providing the Service right away. EU/EEA consumers: by doing so you acknowledge that you lose the 14-day right of withdrawal under the Consumer Rights Directive once the service has begun and credits are used. Beyond your non-waivable statutory rights, credit balances and payments are non-refundable. Nothing here limits mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country.

You keep ownership of every image you upload. As between you and us, any rights in the AI-enhanced output are yours — to the extent such rights exist (note that purely AI-generated material may not be protected by copyright in every country). By uploading, you grant us a limited licence to process your image through our third-party AI providers, store it on Vercel Blob, and display it back to you in the Service. We do not use your photos to train models.

Showcasing. Unless you turn it off, we may feature your before/after photos on PlateRefresh's own social media — anonymously by default: only the food is shown and your restaurant is never named or identified. Naming your restaurant (and tagging its Instagram) happens only if you explicitly enable it. Both controls live in Account → Social sharing, and you can exclude any individual photo from the Gallery. Turning sharing off applies to future posts; already-published posts are removed on request.

AI-generated images may contain artefacts or interpretations that don't match the original dish exactly. You are responsible for reviewing every output before using it commercially. We make no warranty that an output is fit for a particular menu, advertisement, or product listing.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months before a claim arose. The Service is provided without warranties of any kind beyond those that cannot be disclaimed by law.

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access for material breach of these terms or for non-payment. On termination we delete your stored images within 30 days; account metadata may be retained for legal and audit purposes.

We may update these terms; material changes will be notified by email at least 14 days in advance. Continued use after the effective date counts as acceptance.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania, and disputes fall to the competent courts of Lithuania. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.
